About the Innkeepers

New England Bed and Breakfast

Welcoming guests to experience the magic of Harbour House is our joy and delight

Innkeeping is a second career for both of us. Born and raised in the Berkshires, Sam is a retired orthopaedic surgeon and clinical professor. With a passion for ski patrolling, sailing and flying, he holds a Coast Guard Captain's license, and an FAA instrument rated pilot's license. Sam was actively involved in offshore sailing and cruising on his 45' sailboat, "Lady Hawk," and is now sailing along on his tractor as he keeps our two acres of lawns trimmed. Eva is a retired public school administrator who has traveled extensively, both for pleasure and as a teacher trainer.

Her ability to communicate in Czech, Hebrew, German and a bit of French has been a delightful surprise to European travelers in the Berkshires. She loves to read and cook, is looking to combine the two in writing a cookbook, still teaches ESL, and is cultivating a new passion for gardening.

Having arrived to this point from vastly different backgrounds, we enjoy extending a most heartfelt welcome to our guests, providing them with excellent accommodations, feeding them well, and finding a commonality of spirit with them. As avid participants in the rich cultural, outdoor and restaurant offerings of the Berkshires, we assist our guests in finding the activities that will enrich their experience in the region. We've embraced our new life with energy and enthusiasm to provide our guests with a memorable visit in a warm and inviting ambiance.
